Terrace reconstruction at our pilot project in Zdislavice
This year we made substantial progress in the restoration of the tomb’s terrace. Weather permitting, work will resume on laying the rest of the terrace tiles, positioning the last pieces of already completed masonry work, as well as of the metal railing. Last but not least, we’ll repair the door to the chapel and access steps. Meanwhile, during the year, extensive garden work was undertaken in the park – the premises were largely cleared of wild tree seedlings, grass was cut, an old sewage pit removed. The site was also landscaped and some utility pipes rerouted and renewed.
CNT organised several successful events, which included guided tours of the park and the tomb, professional lectures, events for children from local schools and libraries, the Weekends of Open Gardens programme and several weekend working parties.
The project is financed by a grant from the Avast Foundation and also with substantial support of our neighbour, Mr Gschwandtner, the owner of the Zdislavice chateau and our new patron. Thank you so much!
